Having a Dedicated Server means that you have full control over the server. You can run whatever programs in it because you are not sharing any of the resources of the server. Unlike shared hosting, no one will be affected even if you use 100% utilization of the resources.
By having dedicated server, you don’t have to worry about the hardware problem issue. All problems and repair concerning the hardware are taken care by Wowrack.

The time that you answer “yes” to the entire question above is the time that you need dedicated server. Of course there are more factors, but the above questions are some general rules that you can follow.

No. We do not offer telnet on Unix servers. We install SSH as a replacement for telnet. SSH is a more secure way to access your server as all data are encrypted for added security. |

Yes. You can change your root / administrator password anytime. In fact we highly recommend that you change your root / administrator password frequently in order to keep your server secure. |

No, we do not require you to let us know what your server’s password is. Nevertheless, it is highly advisable to let us know if you have made changes to your root password. Your root password may come in handy during a server reboot. |

Yes we do! We are dedicated in providing the best possible uptime for all our customers. We install all the basic monitoring tools for free. These tools monitor the essential services and if a problem arises, an e-mail will be sent to our technicians notifying the problem. You are free to use your dedicated server for any functions as long as they conform to our acceptable usage policy. |

Since you have root / administrator access on your server, you have to capabilities to install almost anything on your server. However, please keep in mind not abuse your capabilities and conform to our dedicated hosting policies. We have zero toleration on the violation of the acceptable usage policy. |

11. Can I resell my server space? top..
Yes. You can resell your server space and make profit from doing so. Please note that you are fully responsible for anything that goes on in your server. Please make sure your client(s) also conform to Wowrack hosting policies. Failure to do so will result in your account being suspended / terminated. |

12. How many websites can I host in my dedicated server? top..
You can host as many websites as your server hardware and operating system can handle. We do not put a limit on the number of sites that you want to put in your server. |

13. My dedicated server is currently hosted at other company. How hard is it to switch to Wowrack? top..
Moving your dedicated server service to Wowrack is not too hard. Here are the basic steps you need to do:
1) Select and order the plan that you like from our website.
2) Once your server is ready, reinstall all needed applications and upload all your files to your new dedicated server.
3) Make sure that your website and all other applications are working.
4) Recheck all of your applications and confirm everything works the way it should.
5) Change the name server to point to your new dedicated server. After the DNS propagate in 8-72 hours, all traffic will be directed to your new server in Wowrack. |

UPS (Uninterrupted Power Source) is a battery back up solution to power our servers and network when there are power outages. If the power outage persists for more than 2 minutes, power generators will kick in to take over the UPS to power the whole Data Center. |

If the problem is a hardware problem, then WowRack will fix the problem as soon as we detect the problem - for free. If it is software issue problem, then we will charge $80/hour between (9am - 5pm PST) and $150/hour between (5pm - 9am PST) if you choose to ask us to fix the problem. Cheaper rates are available through our prepaid managed services. |

Wowrack monitor your server 24/7 and we will be automatically informed should your server fails. An engineer will be deployed immediately to troubleshoot your server and determine the cause of your server failure. If it is indeed hardware failure, we will replace the hardware immediately and bring your server back online. Once the maintenance is completed, the engineer will contact you immediately to brief you on the situation. |

Yes and no. We don’t always supply the exact hardware that you might require for your dedicated server. Your server setup time depends on hardware availability and work load in our setup department. If we have the exact parts needed to build your server, we could definitely setup your server within a few hours of your order. If we don’t have the exact parts, we will need to contact our hardware suppliers and order the proper parts accordingly. |

Our dedicated server setup department is doing extremely well and we are proud to announce that 90% of all dedicated server orders are completed within hours after an order is placed. Unfortunately, promising customers that all orders will be ready within a few hours after order is something that we cannot fulfill. Disappointing customers by giving false promises is the last thing that we would like to do. |
