Jakarta, Indonesia — Wowrack has partnered with Sivali Cloud Technology to make Ubuntu Pro available to Wowrack customers and businesses across Indonesia and APAC Region. The collaboration is part of both companies’ efforts to support wider adoption of enhanced security and long-term maintenance for Ubuntu-based infrastructure.
Ubuntu Pro is a subscription service from Canonical, the developer of Ubuntu, that provides extended security and maintenance for Ubuntu LTS systems. It can be enabled on existing Ubuntu servers without requiring businesses to replace their current operating system.
For businesses that rely on Ubuntu as part of their day-to-day operations, maintaining long-term security support is an important consideration. While standard Ubuntu LTS releases provide five years of security maintenance, Ubuntu Pro can extend security maintenance for up to 15 years, including through the Legacy Support option.
Through its collaboration with Sivali Cloud Technology, a Canonical distributor in APAC Region, Wowrack can now offer Ubuntu Pro as part of its services to customers. In addition to licensing, customers can also access technical support from the Wowrack team based on their infrastructure and operational requirements.
Ubuntu Pro not only extends the maintenance period but also expands security coverage for more than 36,000 of open-source packages used across Ubuntu environments. These include Python, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Redis, which are available through the Universe repository.
The service also covers a range of open-source infrastructure technologies, including LXD, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Ceph, and MAAS, depending on the Ubuntu Pro coverage. For organizations managing larger server environments, Canonical also provides Landscape, a centralized management platform that helps IT teams manage Ubuntu systems from a single dashboard.
Ubuntu Pro can be deployed across a variety of environments, including physical servers, virtual machines, and cloud infrastructure. It can be enabled on existing Ubuntu systems, allowing businesses to strengthen their security coverage without requiring an operating system reinstall or migration.
Ubuntu Pro is available through subscription models designed for different use cases and infrastructure environments. Customers can also choose between managing their environments with their own internal IT teams or receiving additional 24/7 technical support based on their needs.
For Wowrack, the collaboration with Sivali provides businesses with easier access to Ubuntu Pro while giving them the option to combine Canonical’s security and maintenance services with Wowrack’s infrastructure and managed services.
